Check price formatting in a Google Shopping feed
A feed price combines a numeric amount with a currency code. A readable store price is not always a correctly formatted feed value.
Start with the format
Use a decimal point and a three-letter currency code, for example 29.00 USD. A dollar sign alone is ambiguous. Avoid a thousands separator inside the amount. The checker validates this format, not every currency or country requirement.
Compare sale and regular prices
A sale price should use the same currency and be lower than the regular price. Keep price as the normal amount and sale_price as the discounted amount. Check any sale effective dates separately.
Check the actual shopping journey
A correctly formatted feed can still disagree with the product page or checkout. Confirm the displayed price, selected variant, taxes and currency in the target market. This checker does not visit landing pages.
Avoid automatic corrections
Do not infer a missing currency from a symbol or silently change a malformed price. Confirm the intended market and amount in the source system, then export again.
